About SRISHTI

SRISHTI is a Summer research internship designed for students who have completed the AI/ML Training Program at iHub-Data, IIIT Hyderabad. This program provides an opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects under the mentorship of IIIT Hyderabad faculty. Interns will apply their academic learning to real-world challenges, gain hands-on research experience, and develop essential skills for higher studies and industry careers.

Internship Details

🔹 Eligibility: Open exclusively to students who have completed the AI/ML Training Program at iHub-Data, IIITH.
🔹 Selection Process: Selection will be based on faculty discretion, considering factors such as academic performance, technical skills, GitHub portfolio, CV, and project interests. While the AIML course content is important, additional knowledge in programming, research methodologies, and relevant tools may strengthen your application.
🔹 Duration: The duration will be mutually decided between the faculty and the student based on the project scope.
🔹 Internship Mode: The internship offers three modes of engagement: full-time onsite (for students within a commutable distance from IIITH), part-time on weekends, and remote participation, subject to faculty approval.
🔹 Preference for Selection: Since applications exceed available positions, 3rd-year and 4th-year students are generally preferred. Juniors may be again shortlisted in upcoming batches. A limited number of interns will be chosen due to faculty availability during summer.
🔹 Financial Support: This is an unpaid internship. iHub-Data and IIITH do not provide accommodation, food, or travel support. However, some faculty members may extend a stipend at their discretion.
🔹 Certification: A certificate of completion will be provided by iHub-Data or the faculty mentor upon successful completion of the internship. All selected interns will receive equal learning opportunities, guidance, and certification.

How many hours do interns have to work per week?

What are the working hours for the full-time internship?

Can I switch to online mode during the internship?
The possibility of switching to an online mode will depend on your supervisor’s decision.

If I have exams during the internship, can I take leave to write them?
Yes, you can request leave for exams by informing your supervisor in advance. Final approval will be decided once you are selected.

Is this an internship with a stipend?
No, the internship is unpaid. Additionally, iHub-Data and IIIT Hyderabad will not cover expenses related to travel, accommodation, or other costs.

Do selected candidates have to pay any fees for the internship?
No, there are no fees required for this internship.

Can you elaborate on the supervisor’s test/interview process? What should I expect?
The selection process may include a faculty-led evaluation, which can involve a test, technical discussion, or interview. The specifics will vary based on the faculty and the project requirements. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their understanding of AI/ML concepts, problem-solving skills, and past project experience.

Are there any requirements for the offline mode internship after selection, such as location or college approval?
For full-time onsite internships, students must be within a commutable distance from IIITH or arrange their own accommodation. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) may be required by some faculty, and an offer letter will be issued upon selection to facilitate this.

How will project work be assigned, and what kind of projects can we expect?
Projects will be assigned based on faculty discretion, aligning with ongoing research at IIITH. Topics may include AI/ML applications, data science, robotics, computer vision, and other cutting-edge fields.

Is there a specific format for the resume? What should I include to strengthen my application?
While there is no strict resume format, students should include relevant coursework, projects, programming skills, research experience, certifications, and links to their GitHub or portfolio. Highlighting problem-solving skills and past contributions to AI/ML projects can improve your chances of selection.
